Vaccinations
We highly recommend that you vaccinate your pets against a range of dangerous infectious diseases. Young dogs and cats are particularly at risk:
• Puppies should be vaccinated from 6 weeks old, with 3-4 weeks between vaccination, ensuring their second vaccine is recieved at 10 weeks or older, and once annually from then on
• Kittens need vaccinating at 9 weeks and 12 weeks of age, and once annually from then on
As some vaccines only last for a year, it’s important to bear this in mind and watch the date – if the vaccine is delivered late, then your pet may have to start the course again.

Flea problems
No matter how hard you try, you simply can’t stop your pet getting fleas from time to time. That’s why we stock a range of products ideal for ridding your pets of these pests.
Some of the products you can buy from the shops will only provide a short-term measure in the fight against fleas – we pride ourselves on providing effective products which treat your home environment as well as your pet itself, leading to a lower rate of flea resurgence.
Worms
As well as affecting your pets, worms can also lead to adverse effects in humans. This is why we would recommend worming your dog or cat four times a year.

Pet passports
If you’re hoping to take your pet abroad, you’ll need a pet passport.
This requires a microchip and a current Rabies vaccination, and costs less than £120 (about the equivalent of a fortnight’s worth of kennel fees).
You should also be aware that if you are travelling to areas of Southern Europe, your pets will need protection against sandflies and heartworm – for further information and advice, please call us today.
